Cherry Cobbler Recipe

| 1 No. 2 can pitted tart red cherries | ||
| Sugar | 3/4 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Tapioca | 1 Tablespoon | |
| Butter | 6 Tablespoon | |
| Flour | 1 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Baking powder | 1 1/2 Teaspoon | |
| Salt | 1/4 Teaspoon | |
| Milk | 1/4 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| 1 egg, slightly beaten | ||
Directions
Combine cherries, 11/2 cup sugar and tapioca; cook, stirring constantly, until mixture is clear and thickened.
Add 2 tablespoons butter; pour into 10x6- inch baking dish.
Combine flour, 1 tablespoon sugar, baking powder and salt; cut in remaining butter.
Blend milk and egg; add to dry ingredients.
Drop dough by spoonfuls over hot fruit.
Sprinkle with remaining sugar.
Bake at 400 degrees for 20 minutes.
