stale sponge cake crumbs1/2emon
4 oz. preserved ginger
1/2 pint cream
4 oz. glace cherries fine sugar
1 oz. chopped almonds (or walnuts)
Directions
Whip up the cream, adding sugar to sweeten, the juice of the lemon and a little ginger syrup.
Place a layer of sponge cake crumbs in each ramekin.
Pour over this: a little ginger syrup.
Chop up the preserved ginger, cherries and almonds, mix them together and spread over the cake crumbs.
Then cover all with the whipped cream.
