Cherry Wine Soup Recipe

2 lb red cherries, pitted, or use soaked dried cherries
2 c water cinnamon stick
2 whole cloves
2 drops almond extract
1/4 t sea salt
2 c red wine
4 t arrowroot
6 t cold water
Honey to taste
Directions
Simmer cherries in water with seasonings until soft.
Press through sieve or whirl in blender.
Add wine and honey to taste.
Place over heat; when hot, add arrowroot blended with cold water to a smooth consistency.
Cook slowly, stirring constantly until clear.
