Cherry Soup Recipe
Ingredients
| 1 l-qt. can red or black pitted cherries | ||
| 1 cup claret or sherry wine or orange juice | ||
| Cinnamon | 1 1/2 Teaspoon | |
| Sugar | 1/4 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Lemon | 1/2 , finely sliced | |
| Water | 2 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| 1 tsp cornstarch mixed with 1/4 cup water | ||
Directions
Drain cherries, reserving juice.
In a saucepan, combine cherry juice, orange juice or wine, cinnamon, sugar, water and lemon slices.
Simmer for 15 minutes..
Strain and add cornstarch which has been blended with the 1/4 cup water.
Cook, stirring occasionally, for 10 minutes.
