Cherry Loaf Recipe
Ingredients
1 1/3 c. flour
1/2 c. butter
2 eggs
1 c. sugar
1/2 c. milk
2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. almond extract
1 c. maraschino cherries, halved and drained
Directions
1. Halve the cherries and sprinkle with a little flour.
2. Cream the butter, then add sugar, eggs and almond extract, and mix well.
3. Add dry ingredients alternately with the wet ingredients.
4. Fold in the cherries
5. Bake in a well greased and lined loaf pan at 350° for 50-55 minutes.
