Ingredients

 Stoned cherries- 1 lb, or Cherries- 1 1/4 lb, before stoning
 Sugar12 Ounce
 Juice of lemon- 1/2 or Citric or tartaric acid 1/2 teaspoons

Directions

MAKING
1.In a pan, place the fruit, along with stones tied in muslin.
2. Simmer until the fruit turns soft.
3. Now stir in the sugar, lemon juice or acid, keep stirring until sugar has dissolved
4. Boil quickly and continuously till the jam is thick and viscous.

SERVING
5. Serve with muffins, bagels, scones, or toast. You can use it as a filling in pies, or eat it with pancakes.
