Cherry Filling Recipe
Ingredients
1 can (16 ounces) water-pack tart red cherries
1/2 cup sugar
3 tablespoons cornstarch
1/2 teaspoon salt
Directions
1. Drain cherry juice into a 1-cup measure; add enough water to make 1 cup.
2. Combine sugar, cornstarch and salt in a medium-size saucepan; stir in cherry liquid. Cook, stirring constantly, until sauce thickens and bubbles 1 minute; remove from heat; stir in cherries; cool completely.
