Cherry Clafouti Recipe
Ingredients
| Nonstick cooking spray | ||
| Egg whites | 3 | |
| Eggs | 2 Small | |
| Granulated Sugar | 1/8 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| 1/4 cup fat-free milk | ||
| Orange peel | 1/2 Teaspoon, finely shredded | |
| Few drops almond extract | ||
| 1 8-ounce carton plain fat-free yogurt | ||
| All purpose flour | 1/2 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| 2 cups pitted dark sweet cherries | ||
Directions
In a medium mixing bowl beat together egg whites, whole eggs, granulated sugar, milk, orange peel, and almond extract with a wire whisk until combined.
Blend in yogurt just until smooth.
Gradually add flour, beating with whisk until smooth.
Pour batter into the prepared baking dish.
Sprinkle with cherries.
Bake in a 350° oven for 25 to 30 minutes °r until a knife inserted near the center comes out clean.
If desired, sprinkle with sifted powdered sugar.
