Cherry Clafouti Recipe
In my opinion to call yourself a chef one must have personal recipe of cherry clafouti, just like I do. I prepare this yum cherry clafouti as a dessert every month or even more often. The french cherry clafouti has an unique characteristic of addicting you to it on the first bite. A delicious cherry clafouti gets its taste from fruits. Try this cherry clafouti once and only once! your loyalty to it forever is guaranteed!
Ingredients
2/3 cup milk
1/3 cup sifted all-purpose flour
1/3 cup granulated sugar
2 large eggs
2 teaspoons vanilla extract
1/8 teaspoon salt
1 1/2 cups pitted fresh dark sweet cherries or 1 package (12 ounces) frozen pitted dark sweet cherries, unthawed but patted dry
2 tablespoons confectioners sugar
Directions
Preheat the oven to 350° F.
Place the milk, flour, granulated sugar, eggs, vanilla, and salt in a food processor or an electric blender and whirl untilsmooth 5 to 10 seconds.
Arrange the cherries in the bot-torn of a buttered 9-inch glass pie plate.
Pour the batter evenly over the cherries.
Bake, uncovered, for 45 to 50 minutes or until puffed, lightly browned, and set.
Let cool for 15 minutes, then dust with the confectioners sugar.
