Cherry Bake Recipe

Ingredients
1 can (1 lb.) red pitted cherries, drained
1/2 cup sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 teaspoon red food coloring
1 small package white or yellow cake mix
1/2 cup butter
1/4 CUP nuts, chopped
Directions
Mix cherries, sugar, vanilla and coloring well to dissolve sugar.
Place in 9x9-inch cake pan.
Sprinkle dry cake mix over top.
Slice butter and spread over cake mix.
Add nuts.
Bake at 300° for 1 hour.
