Chef's Salad Recipe
Ingredients
| 10 cups bite-size pieces assorted salad greens, such as romaine, endive, escarole, or red leaf | ||
| Classic French Vinaigrette, Blue Cheese Dressing or Thousand Island Dressing | ||
| Salt | 1/4 Teaspoon | |
| 4 ounces smoked or baked ham, cut into long, thin strips | ||
| 4 ounces Swiss cheese, cut into long, thin strips | ||
| 2 hard-cooked large eggs, peeled and quartered | ||
| 2 carrots, peeled and coarsely shredded or 1/2 cup sliced radishes | ||
| Red onion | 1 Small, thinly sliced | |
| Cucumber | 1/2 Cup (16 tbs), peeled | |
Directions
In large serving bowl, toss greens with 1/3 cup salad dressing and salt.
Decoratively arrange ham, cheese, egg, carrots, red onion, and cucumber on top.
Serve with remaining dressing alongside.
