Simple Chef'S Salad Recipe
Yummy Chef's Salad! Just thinking about the wonderful flavors and texture of this Chef's Salad makes my mouth water! The Chef's Salad is oftem my dinner. You simply have to try them!
Ingredients
1 medium sized lettuce, outer leaves removed, washed and chilled
3 oz. cold, cooked chicken, cut in strips about 4 inches by 1/2 inch
3 oz. cold, cooked tongue, cut in strips about 4 inches by 1/2 inch
3 oz. Gruyere cheese, cut into pieces 1 hard boiled egg, very thinly sliced
1 tablespoon finely chopped onion
3 tablespoons stoned, chopped black olives
6 tablespoons olive oil
2 tablespoons red wine vinegar
1/2 teaspoon lemon juice
1/4 teaspoon prepared French mustard
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
Directions
Place the lettuce leaves in a large salad bowl.
Add the chicken, tongue, cheese, egg, onion and olives.
In a screw top jar, combine the olive oil, vinegar, lemon juice, mustard, salt and pepper, and shake the jar vigorously until all of the ingredients are well blended.
Pour the dressing over the salad, and place the bowl in the refrigerator to chill for 10 minutes.
Add the chicken, tongue, cheese, egg, onion and olives.
In a screw top jar, combine the olive oil, vinegar, lemon juice, mustard, salt and pepper, and shake the jar vigorously until all of the ingredients are well blended.
Pour the dressing over the salad, and place the bowl in the refrigerator to chill for 10 minutes.
