Cheesy Creamed Potatoes Recipe

Ingredients
8 medium white potatoes, peeled, sliced
3 tablespoons finely chopped onions
3 ounces cream cheese, softened
1/2 cup sour cream
1/4 cup (1/2 stick) butter, melted
1 cup shredded Cheddar cheese (4 ounces)
1/2 cup bacon bits(optional)
Directions
Place enough salted water to cover the potatoes in a saucepan; bring to a boil.
Boil the potatoes for 20 minutes or until tender.
Combine the onions, cream cheese, sour cream and butter in a large mixing bowl.
Drain the hot potatoes and add to the cream cheese mixture; beat at high speed until smooth and creamy.
Spoon into a greased 1 1/2 to 2 quart baking dish.
Sprinkle with shredded cheese and bacon bits.
Bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes.
