Ingredients

sausages (pack of)

jar of tomato & basil sauce

350g pasta

mozzarella balls (basically a funky cheese)

Directions

First of all cut up your sausages into hunky chunks. Actually ‘cutting’ them with food scissors is what I did and it was really easy….. whack these on the George Foreman grill and cook until brown. George Foreman was listening to the Dirty Dancing soundtrack during this recipe by the way.

Put your water on to boil while the sausages are cooking and then chuck your pasta into the pan once ready…. you’ve gotta cook the pasta “a la dente” or whatever they call it, so I just basically cooked it until it was soft. According to Google it actually means cook it until firm but not soft, oh well!

Plonk your pasta sauce into a frying pan and heat up, with your jar of sauce empty fill it up with water half way and then chuck that in the pan too (I have no idea why this was needed)…..then throw your sausages into this pool of tomato sauce! Now grab your mozzarella ball and cut it up, be warned these things are fun and are very tempting to just throw wildly in the air for no real purpose. Cut them it into thin slices. Pre-heat your grill.

Drain out the pasta once done and return it to the pan, pour your sausages and sauce over the top and give it a bloomin’ good stir. Tip – use a wooden spoon not a spatula like me or it will melt and make you feel silly!

Transfer it to the pasta dish and put the cheese ball bits on top and grill until it’s melted – roughly 10 mins or so! Then you can serve it up and eat away….lush!
