Cheesy Chive Biscuits Recipe
Ingredients
| All purpose flour | 1 1/4 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| 1/2 cup unprocessed oar bran | ||
| Minced parsley | 1 Tablespoon | |
| Baking powder | 1 1/2 Teaspoon | |
| Chives | 2 Teaspoon, minced | |
| Dried oregano | 1/8 Teaspoon | |
| 2 tablespoons unsalted margarine, softened | ||
| 3/4 cup low-fat cottage cheese | ||
| 2 egg whites, lightly beaten | ||
| All purpose flour | 1 Tablespoon | |
| Cornmeal | 1 Tablespoon | |
Directions
Combine first 6 ingredients in a large bowl; cut in margarine with a pastry blender until mixture resembles coarse meal.
Add cottage cheese and egg whites, stirring just until dry ingredients are moistened.
Sprinkle 1 tablespoon flour evenly over work surface.
Turn dough our onto floured surface, and knead lightly 0 to 4 rimes.
Roll dough to 7/8-inch thickness; cur into rounds with a 2-inch biscuit cutter.
Sprinkle a baking sheet with corn-meal; transfer dough rounds to baking sheer.
Bake at 400° for 10 to 13 minutes or until golden brown.
