Cheeseburgers Recipe
Ingredients
| Burger mixture | ||
| Breadcrumbs | 1 1/2 Ounce | |
| Minced onion | 1 Tablespoon, grated | |
| Beef | 8 Ounce, minced | |
| 1 small egg to bind | ||
| Cheese rarebit mixture | ||
| Butter/Margarine | 1 Ounce | |
| Mustard | 1 Teaspoon (Leveled), made | |
| Cheddar Cheese | 6 Ounce, grated | |
| Milk | 2 Tablespoon | |
| 4 hamburger buns or soft rolls | ||
| Salt | To Taste | |
| Pepper | To Taste | |
| Pinch salt and cayenne pepper | ||
| Pinch salt and cayenne pepper | ||
Directions
Mix 'burger' ingredients together, divide into equal portions-and shape into round flat cakes slightly larger than the buns.
Prepare the rarebit mixture.
Cream the butter or margarine with the seasonings; add grated cheese and milk and mix well.
Grill or fry the hamburgers for 2-3 minutes on each side.
Spread a generous helping of the rarebit mixture over both sides of each; split hamburger bun and grill to a golden brown.
Put a cooked hamburger on bottom of the grilled bun and close.
Serve hot with mustard or ketchup and pickled onions.
