Cheeseburger Pie Recipe

Ingredients
1 pound ground beef
1 package (5 oz.) instant mashed potato flakes divided
1 1/4 cups milk, divided
1 egg
1/4 cup catsup
1 tablespoon dried onion flakes
1 1/2 teaspoons salt, divided
1/4 teaspoon pepper, divided
6 slices American cheese, divided
1 cup hot water
2 tablespoons butter or margarine
Directions
Combine ground beef, 1 1/3 cups instant mashed potato flakes, 1 cup milk, egg, catsup, onion, 1 teaspoon salt and 1/8 teaspoon pepper.
Spread into 9-inch pie plate.
Cook at MEDIUM-HIGH 6 1/2 to 7 1/2 minutes; drain.
Arrange 2 slices cheese on top.
Let stand, loosely covered, 7 minutes.
Meanwhile, in medium glass bowl, combine water, butter, remaining milk, salt and pepper.
Cook at MEDIUM-HIGH 5 to 6 minutes.
Add remaining instant mashed potato flakes and cheese, diced; stir until potatoes are fluffy.
Spread potato mixture over "cheeseburger".
Cook at MEDIUM-HIGH 2 to 3 minutes or until heated through.
