Cheese Stuffed Meatloaf Recipe
Ingredients
| 1 8-oz. package sliced process American cheese | ||
| 2 eggs, slightly beaten | ||
| Ground beef | 2 Pound | |
| Milk | 1 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Rolled oats | 1 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Onion | 3/4 Cup (16 tbs), chopped | |
| Green pepper | 2 Tablespoon, minced | |
| Salt | 2 Teaspoon | |
| Pepper | 1/4 Teaspoon | |
| Prepared mustard | 1 Tablespoon | |
| Prepared horseradish | 1 Teaspoon | |
Directions
Cut cheese slices in half diagonally; reserve half the cheese triangles.
Chop remaining cheese slices finely.
Combine chopped cheese, eggs, ground beef, milk, oats, onion, green pepper and seasonings.
Mix well.
Press beef mixture into greased loaf pan.
Invert pan onto foil-covered shallow baking pan; remove loaf from pan.
Fold foil up around meat loaf to hold juices.
Bake at 375 degrees for about 1 hour or until beef is done.
Remove foil from around meat loaf; overlap reserved cheese slices on top of loaf.
Return to oven just long enough for cheese to melt.
Place meat loaf on heated serving dish; garnish with peach halves and sprigs of watercress.
