Cheese Straws Recipe
Delight in this flavored cheese straws, made crispy with breadcrumbs. Serve it hot with hot beverages.
Ingredients
1/2 -cup breadcrumbs
1 tblspn, milk
1 cup grated cheese
dash paprika
5 tblspns, flour
1 tblspn, butter
dash cayenne (or to taste)
1/2 -tspn, dry mustard (optional)
Directions
Sift flour, salt, cayenne and paprika.
Rub in butter lightly.
Stir in crumbs and grated cheese.
Mix with milk to a stiff dough.
Knead well.
Roll out 1/4" thick and cut into strips.
Bake in a quick oven till corn coloured.
Twist some of the straws instead of baking them flat.
