Ingredients

 
12 slices French bread (14" loaf)
 
4 tablespoons butter or margarine
 
8 oz. shredded sharp cheddar cheese
 
1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
 
Mustard
 
3 eggs
 
3 cups milk
 
1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
 
1/2 teaspoon salt
 
Paprika

Directions

Spread bread with butter and mustard cut into squares.
Make 3 layers each of bread, Cheddar cheese and Parmesan cheese, in deep buttered 8-cup dish.
Beat eggs with milk, Worcestershire sauce and salt, and pour over bread and cheese layers.
Sprinkle with paprika cover and chill several hours or overnight.
Bake at 350° for 1 hour, until puffy and golden.
Test with a knife to be sure center is cooked.
