Cheese Rice Ring Recipe
Cheese Rice Ring is one dish which you cannot resist making again and again. A good way to use up Rice is to make some amazing Cheese Rice Ring. Serve this tasty Main Dish as often as you like! Ingredients
2 cups (500 mL) short grain rice uncooked
1/2 cup (125 mL) cheese of your choice, grated
1/4 cup (60 mL) butter melted
Salt to taste
Directions
Microwave the rice.
To the hot rice add the grated cheese, melted butter and salt.
Stir with a fork until the whole is well blended.
Butter a microwave-safe ring mold and fill with the rice, bringing it right to the top of the mold.
This is important, because if the mold is not properly filled, the ring can break when turned out.
Let stand 5 minutes.
When ready to unmold, place the mold in a microwave-safe pan.
Add hot water.
Microwave 5 minutes at MEDIUM to warm up the rice.
Loosen rice around the edges and unmold by inverting QUICKLY onto a hot platter.
Fill as you choose.
Serve.
