Cheese Puff Recipe
Personally, I think that this Cheese Puff recipe is the best in the world, that is why I am excited about sharing this with you. The Cheese Puff holds a high place in the Canadian cuisine. Ingredients
8 slices day-old bread
1 /2 pound Cheddar cheese, grated
3 eggs
2 cups milk
1 teaspoon finely chopped onion
1 teaspoon prepared mustard
1/2 teaspoon salt Pepper to taste
Directions
Remove crusts from bread.
Arrange 4 slices in greased shallow baking dish.
Add cheese; cover with remaining bread.
Beat eggs; add milk, onion and seasonings.Pour into dish, and refrigerate about 1/2 hour.
Bake at 325°F. about 45 minutes or until puffed and golden brown on top.Serve immediately
