Baked Cheese Potato Balls Recipe
Ingredients
| 2 cups Instant mashed potato puffs | ||
| Water | 1 1/2 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Butter/Margarine | 2 Tablespoon | |
| Salt | 1 Teaspoon | |
| Milk | 1/2 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| 16 half-inch cubes process American cheese | ||
| Butter/Margarine | 3 Tablespoon, melted | |
Directions
Heat oven to 400°F.
Measure 1/2 cup of the potato puffs (dry); set aside.
Heat water, 2 tablespoons butter and the salt to boiling in large saucepan.
Remove from heat; stir in milk and the remaining potato puffs.
Form into 16 balls, shaping each heaping tablespoonful of potato around a cube of cheese.
Stir reserved potato puffs into the melted butter.
Roll balls in buttered potato puffs; place on un-greased baking sheet.
If desired, sprinkle with paprika.
Bake 10 to 15 minutes or until light brown.

Hi Peg, that is right, instant potato granules or flakes work fine for this recipe.
