Ingredients
2 teaspoons finely chopped onion
1 can liver pate
1 cup all purpose flour
2 tablespoons toasted sesame seed
1/2 cup butter
3 oz. sharp Cheddar cheese, cut in small pieces
Directions
Combine flour with sesame seed in a bowl.
Using a pastry blender or two knives, cut in the butter and cheese.
Shape into a ball, wrap in waxed paper, and refrigerate 6 hours, or until thoroughly chilled.
Remove pastry about 15 minutes before it is to be used, then roll 1/8 inch thick on lightly floured surface.
Cut into 2 inch rounds.
Stir chopped onion into liver pate and spoon about 1/2 teaspoon of the mixture onto center of each round.
Fold one half over other half and press edges gently; arrange 1 inch apart on baking sheet.
Bake at 450°F 8 to 10 minutes, or until puffs are golden brown.
NOTE: 1 teaspoon dill weed may be substituted for the sesame seed in the pastry.
