Cheese Cereal Souffle Recipe
Ingredients
| 1 cup shredded Canadian cheese 250 mL | ||
| Dry mustard | 1/8 Teaspoon | |
| Salt | 1/2 Teaspoon | |
| Dash of pepper, paprika or mace | ||
| Cornstarch | 1 Tablespoon | |
| 1 cup hot cooked cereal 250 mL | ||
| Butter | 1 Tablespoon | |
| Milk | 1 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Eggs | 2 , separated | |
Directions
Combine cheese, mustard, salt, pepper and cornstarch.
Add butter and milk to cereal, add the dry ingredients and beaten egg yolks.
Fold in stiffly beaten egg whites.
Pour into oiled casserole.
Set casserole in pan of hot water.
Bake 40 to 50 minutes until firm at 350F (180C).
