Ingredients
1 cup dried beans
1 oz. green pepper
3 tblspn, flour
2 cups milk
1 cup grated cheese
1smail carrot
1smail onion .
3 tblspn, oil
few celery stalks
salt, pepper
Directions
Soak beans in hot water for 5 hours, then cook until tender.
Make a sauce with the oil or butter, flour and milk, adding the seasonings and grated cheese.
Prepare onion and carrot and dice small.
Chop green pepper.
Mix cut vegetables, and arrange in layers with the beans in a greased casserole.
Pour over the cheese sauce and top with grated cheese mixed with breadcrumbs.
Bake at 350°F.
for 35 minutes or until vegetables are tender.
Left-over vegetables may be used.
