Cheese And Onion Quiche Recipe

Ingredients
| Bread slice | 1 Small | |
| 8 ounces onion, cut into thin slices | ||
| Water | 1 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| 1/2 envelope instant chicken broth and seasoning mix | ||
| 2 ounces sharp cheddar or Swiss cheese, shredded | ||
| Eggs | 2 , beaten | |
| Evaporated milk | 1/2 Cup (16 tbs), skimmed | |
| Salt | 1/2 Teaspoon | |
| Pepper | 1/4 Teaspoon | |
| Nutmeg | 1/4 Teaspoon | |
Directions
Cool piecrust.
Preheat oven to 400° F.
Water-fry onions in saucepan with water and broth mix.
When onions are translucent, transfer to piecrust.
Arrange cheese over onions, combine remaining ingredients, and pour into pie shell.
Bake on lowest rack of oven for 10 minutes.
Reduce temperature to 325° F. and bake until custard is set, about 45 minutes more.
