Short crust pastry - 6 ounce
Cheese - 4 ounce, grated
Leeks - 4, parboiled
Top of milk - 2 tablespoon
Seasoned flour – as needed
Directions
GETTING READY
1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit.
2. In a pie plate, line bottom with pastry.
3. Cut leeks into round slices.
MAKING
4. Into the pastry lined pie plate, place the leeks and sprinkle seasoned flour on top.
5. Spread the grated cheese and pour milk over it.
6. Cut the remaining pastry into strips and plait over the pie.
7. Brush top with milk and bake in preheated oven for 25 minutes until top is golden brown.
SERVING
8. Serve hot cheese and leek pie straight from the oven.
