Cheese-Topped Savouries Recipe
Ingredients
| 15 g {1/2 oz) butter | ||
| 2 rashers streaky bacon, derinded and chopped | ||
| Mushrooms | 50 Gram, sliced | |
| 2 tomatoes, skinned and chopped | ||
| Mustard | 1/2 Teaspoon, made | |
| Bread slice | 4 , buttered | |
| Cheddar Cheese | 50 Gram, sliced | |
| Parsley sprigs to garnish | ||
| Salt | To Taste | |
| Pepper | To Taste | |
Directions
Melt the butter in a pan, add the bacon and fry until soft.
Add the mushrooms and tomatoes and cook for 1 minute.
Stir in the mustard and salt and pepper to taste.
Divide the mixture between 2 of the bread slices and top with the remaining 2 slices.
Toast both sides under a preheated hot grill until golden brown.
Place the cheese on top and return to the grill.
Cook until the cheese is golden and bubbling.
Garnish with parsley.
