Cheese Strata Recipe
Ingredients
| Bread | 6 , sliced | |
| Shredded sharp Cheddar cheese | 1 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| 1 pound pork sausage - browned and drained | ||
| MIX: 4 beaten eggs | ||
| Milk | 2 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Salt | 1 Teaspoon | |
| Dry mustard | 1/2 Teaspoon | |
| Pinch oregano | ||
| Onions and mushrooms, chopped or sliced | ||
Directions
Layer bread, cheese, mushrooms, onions, sausage in bottom of 9 x 13 greased pan.
Blend egg/milk mixture in blender and pour over layered mixture.
REFRIGERATE OVERNIGHT -COVERED TIGHTLY.
Top with crushed buttered corn flakes.
Bake 350 degrees for 45 - 50 minutes.
Test with knife blade in center for doneness.
DO NOT OVERBAKE BECAUSE IT WILL GO FLAT.
