Cheese Steak Jarlsberg Recipe
Ingredients
| Tomatoes | 1 1/2 Cup (16 tbs), chopped | |
| Yellow pepper | 1 Small, finely chopped | |
| Onion | 1 Medium, finely chopped | |
| Round steak - 1 1/2 pounds, very thinly sliced | ||
| Jarlsberg or Nokkelost cheese - 1/2 pound, sliced | ||
| Hero rolls - 6 whole, split and toasted | ||
| Parsley | 1/2 Cup (16 tbs), finely chopped | |
| Garlic - 1 large clove, minced | ||
| Chili powder | 1/4 Teaspoon | |
| Cooking oil | 1 Tablespoon | |
| Salsa Sauce to taste | ||
Directions
GETTING READY
1) Take a bowl and combine tomatoes, onion, pepper, garlic, parsley and chili powder in it. Blend well and cover the bowl. Set aside at room temperature for 30 minutes.
MAKING
2) Take a large skillet and heat oil in it. Cook several slices of beef at a time; browning quickly on both sides and turning once.
3) Arrange beef on toasted rolls and top with cheese.
4) Broil 4 inches from heat just until cheese melts.
SERVING
5) Top with salsa to serve.
