Ingredients

 1 1/2 pounds round steak, cut into 1/2-inch strips
 Flour1/4 Cup (16 tbs)
 Salt1/2 Teaspoon
 Pepper1/8 Teaspoon
 Onion soup mix package1
 4-ounce can mushroom stems and pieces, undrained
 Water1 Cup (16 tbs)
 1/2 cup buttermilk or sour milk
 Swiss Cheese4 Ounce, sliced
 Drop Biscuits
 1 cup Pillsbury's Best All Purpose Flour
 Baking powder1 1/2 Teaspoon
 Soda1/2 Teaspoon
 Cooking oil3 Tablespoon

Directions

baking diPlace meat in 8 or 9-inch square sh.
Sprinkle flour, salt and pepper over meat.
Mix to coat meat with flour.
Bake at 350° for 30 minutes.
Remove from oven.
Stir in onion soup mix, mushrooms and water.
Cover and bake 1 1/2 hours or until meat is tender.
Remove from oven.
Set oven temperature at 450°.
Pour 1/2 cup buttermilk over top of meat.
Place one layer of Swiss cheese slices over top; reserve remaining cheese slices.
Drop Biscuits by table-spoonfuls onto meat mixture.
Cut remaining cheese in small pieces; sprinkle over biscuits.
Bake at 450° for 15 to 18 minutes.
Drop Biscuits: Combine flour, baking powder, soda and salt in mixing bowl.
Combine buttermilk and oil.
Add to dry ingredients all at once stirring until dry particles are moistened
