Cheese Scones Recipe
Ingredients
| 1 lb self-raising flour | ||
| Salt | 1 Pinch | |
| Dry mustard | 2 Teaspoon | |
| Cheddar Cheese | 8 Ounce, grated | |
| Corn oil | 6 Tablespoon | |
| Cold milk | 8 Fluid Ounce | |
Directions
Sift together the flour, salt and mustard. Stir in the remaining ingredients and knead lightly to a manageable dough. On a lightly floured board, roll out the dough to 2 cm (J inch) thick and stamp out 5 cm (2 inch) diameter rounds. Place on a lightly greased baking sheet. Bake in a preheated hot oven (220°C/425oF, Gas Mark 7) for about 10 minutes. Cool on a wire rack. Makes 16
