Cheese Roll Recipe

1 package (8 oz.) Cheddar cheese
 
1 package (3 oz.) cream cheese
 
1/2 cup pecans, finely chopped
 
1/2 teaspoon garlic salt (optional)
 
3 teaspoons paprika
 
Dash of cayenne
 
Pinch of chili powder

Directions

Let cheese stand at room temperature until soft.
Blend with fingers.
Add garlic salt and pecans.
Scoop up about half the mixture, holding it in your hands, form a roll about 1 1/4 inches in diameter.
Place the roll on a piece of foil sprinkled with paprika, cayenne and chili powder.
Spread the paprika mixture out on the foil about the length of the cheese roll, and roll.
Wrap in the foil and chill
