Cheese & Nut Stuffed Bread Slices Recipe
Ingredients
| 1 loaf Italian or French bread | ||
| 1 (8-ounce) plus 1 (3-ounce) package cream cheese, softened | ||
| Butter/Margarine | 4 Tablespoon, softened | |
| Shredded Cheddar cheese | 1 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| 1 envelope Vegetable Recipe Soup Mix | ||
| Walnuts | 1/2 Cup (16 tbs), chopped | |
Directions
Trim ends of bread, then cut bread crosswise into 4 pieces.
Hollow out center of each piece, leaving 1/2-inch shell; reserve shells (save bread for fresh bread crumbs).
With food processor or electric mixer, combine cream cheese with butter until smooth.
Add Cheddar cheese, vegetable recipe soup mix and walnuts; process until blended.
Pack into reserved shells.
