White Wine Cheese Fondue Recipe

Ingredients
1/2 pound Emmentaler and
1/2 pound Gruyere, shredded or diced
3 tablespoons flour
1 garlic clove
2 cups dry white wine
1 tablespoon lemon juice
(if wine is not tart enough)
3 tablespoons kirsch (optional)
Dash of nutmeg
2 loaves French bread, cut in cubes, crust on each side
Directions
Dredge cheese with flour.
Rub the cooking pot with garlic; pour in the wine; set over moderate heat.
When air bubbles rise, add lemon juice.
Add cheese by handfuls, stirring constantly with a wooden fork or spoon until the cheese is melted.
Add the kirsch and nutmeg, stirring until blended.
Keep bubbling hot over burner while serving.
