White Wine Cheese Fondue Recipe

Ingredients

 Garlic1 Clove (5gm), finely chopped
 3/4 cup / 200 ml / 1/3 pt dry white wine
 2 cups / 225 g / 8 oz Gruyere cheese, finely grated
 Cornstarch10 Milliliter
 30 ml / 2 tbsp brandy
  black pepper1
 Nutmeg

Directions

Put garlic and wine in a bowl and cook for 2 minutes.
Add cheese. Cook for 4 minutes, stirring 3 times, until cheese has melted.
Mix together cornflour (cornstarch), brandy, pepper and nutmeg. Stir into cheese. Cook for 4 minutes.
Serve with French bread cut into bite-sized pieces and accompany with a crisp salad. Provide each guest with a fondue fork or kebab stick for spearing the bread.
