Cheese Fondue Recipe
European cuisine is one of the finest and richest in my opinion and I recommened that you try this awesome recipe of Cheese Fondue that it has to offer. It is an effortless Side Dish. The European Cheese Fondue has a way of addicting you to it on the first bite. You do not need to be a gourmet to gauge how delicious and flavorful this dish is.
Ingredients
3 cups shredded natural Swiss cheese
1 cup finely diced gruyere cheese
1 1/2 tablespoons flour
1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
1/4 teaspoon pepper
1 clove garlic, pressed or finely chopped
2 cups dry white wine
3 tablespoons dry sherry
Directions
Lightly toss cheese, flour, nutmeg, pepper and garlic together in 2-quart bowl.
Set aside.
Pour wine into 2-quart casserole or fondue dish.
MICRO WAVE 5 to 6 MINUTES on '6', or until wine is hot.
Stir in cheese mixture.
MICROWAVE 2 to 4 MINUTES on '6 or until cheese melts.
Stir well.
Stir in sherry, serve immediately.
Can be kept hot or reheated as needed.
For ovens without solid state heat control, to heat wine, MICROWAVE 6 to 7 MINUTES on '5'.
Stir in cheese mixture.
MICROWAVE 3 MINUTES, 30 SECONDS to 5 MINUTES on 5
