Cheesy Fondue Recipe

1 lb. (4 cups) shredded Swiss cheese
 
1/4 cup flour
 
1/4 tsp. salt
 
1/8 tsp. garlic powder
 
Dash white pepper
 
1/4 tsp. nutmeg
 
2 cups dry white wine
 
2 Tbsp. Kirsch, if desired
 
French bread, cut in 1" cubes

Directions

In 2 qt glass casserole, mix cheese, flour, salt, garlic powder, pepper, nutmeg and wine.
Microwave (high), covered, 5-7 minutes, stirring once or twice during the last 2 minutes.
Rest, covered, 5 minutes.
Stir in Kirsch.
Spear squares of bread in fondue.
If cool, reheat 1-2 minutes.
