Shredded Swiss Cheese Fondue Recipe
Cheese Fondue is an amazingly delicious version. An easy to make side dish recipe, you will simply find this Cheese Fondue both mouth-watering and amazingly tempting.
Ingredients
| Garlic | 1 Clove (5gm), cut in half | |
| Shredded Swiss cheese | 1 pound | |
| Flour | 1/4 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Salt | 1/4 Teaspoon | |
| Pepper | 1 Dash | |
| Nutmeg | 1/4 Teaspoon | |
| Dry white wine | 1 1/2 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Kirsch | 2 Tablespoon | |
| French bread, cut in 1-inch | ||
Directions
Rub the insides and bottom of a deep, 1 1/2 quart, heat-resistant, non-metallic casserole or heat-resistant, non-metallic fondue pot with garlic.
Discard garlic.
Combine cheese, flour, salt, pepper and nutmeg in the prepared dish.
Add wine and mix well.
Heat, covered, on simmer for 12 minutes stirring during last half of cooking time.
If cheese is not completely melted, heat on simmer for 1 to 2 minutes.
If desired, stir in kirsch.
Spear squares of French bread with fondue forks or regular forks and dip in fondue.
If necessary, fondue pot may be placed on a warmer stand over low heat or returned to microwave oven to reheat fondue.
