Cheese Custard Recipe
Ingredients
| Butter/Margarine | 1/2 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| White bread slice | 12 | |
| Cheddar Cheese package | 2 , Processed | |
| Eggs | 3 , Well beaten | |
| Milk | 2 1/2 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Salt | 3/4 Teaspoon | |
| Worcestershire | 1/2 Teaspoon | |
| Dry mustard | 1/4 Teaspoon |
Directions
Set oven at 325°.
Place butter in a 9 by 9-inch baking pan or 2Vi-quart casserole and put in oven until butter melts.
Remove from oven and quickly dip sliced bread in butter to coat one side of each.
When all slices are coated and butter is mostly used up, cut the bread into 1-inch cubes.
Spread remaining butter up sides of pan to grease thoroughly.
Place a layer of sliced cheese in the bottom of the pan; sprinkle with buttered bread cubes.
Repeat two more times.
Mix beaten eggs, milk, salt, Worcestershire, and mustard.
Pour over the cheese and bread.
