Cheese Coated Halibut Sticks Recipe
Ingredients
| 2 pounds halibut fillets, 1 inch thick | ||
| Salad oil | 1/2 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Salt | 1 Teaspoon | |
| Garlic | 1 Clove (5gm), mashed | |
| 1 cup commercially grated American cheese | ||
| 1/2 cup fine dry bread crumbs | ||
Directions
Cut the halibut into pieces approximately 1 inch wide by 2 inches long.
Combine the oil, salt, and garlic.
Marinate the halibut steaks in the oil for 1 to 2 minutes, then drain.
Roll in the grated cheese and then in the dry crumbs.
Place on an oiled baking sheet so that pieces do not touch.
Bake in a very hot oven (450°) for 12 minutes.
