Cheese Biscuits Recipe
Cheese Biscuits are simply yummy. I use this Cheese Biscuits and they are very good with tea or coffee. Cheese Biscuits gets is desired taste from cheese mixed with milk and flour.
Ingredients
2 cups self rising flour
1/2 cup shortening
1/2 cup (2 ounces) shredded Cheddar cheese
3/4 cup milk
Directions
Combine flour and shortening; cut in shortening with a pastry blender until mixture resembles coarse meal.
Add cheese and milk, stirring until dry ingredients are moistened.
Turn dough out onto a lightly floured surface, and knead lightly 4 or 5 times.
Roll dough to 1/2 inch thickness; cut with a 2 inch biscuit cutter.
Place on an ungreased baking sheet.
Bake at 450° for 10 to 12 minutes.
