Directions

In mixing bowl combine sugars, flour, cinnamon, and salt; stir in water and lemon juice.
Add apples; stir to coat.
Arrange apples in a 9-inch pie plate; drizzle sugar mixture over all.
Bake, covered, at 350° till apples are tender, 45 to 50 minutes.
Uncover; sprinkle with cheese.
Bake, uncovered, 5 minutes more.
