Cheese and Sesame Wafers Recipe
Ingredients
| Plain flour | 4 Ounce | |
| Dry mustard | 1/2 Teaspoon | |
| Ground ginger | 1/2 Teaspoon | |
| Sugar | 1/2 Teaspoon | |
| Cheddar Cheese | 2 Ounce, grated | |
| Sesame seeds | 2 Tablespoon, toasted | |
| 1 egg-yolk | ||
| 2 oz.butter | ||
| Water | 1 Tablespoon | |
| 1/2 teaspoon salt pinch cayenne pepper | ||
| 1/2 teaspoon salt pinch cayenne pepper | ||
Directions
Sift together dry ingredients into bowl.
Stir in cheese and toasted sesame seeds.
Combine lightly beaten egg-yolk, melted butter and water.
Stir into dry ingredients; form into a ball.
Wrap in grease-proof paper; refrigerate 30 minutes.
Roll out to 1/8 in. thickness on lightly floured board.
Cut into 1 in. x 2 in. strips or 2 in. squares.
Place on ungreased oven tray, bake in moderate oven, Mark 4, 350°F., 15 minutes.
Cool on tray.
