Ingredients
| 250 g/9 oz self-raising flour | ||
| 1 tsp powdered mustard | ||
| Cayenne pepper | 1/2 Teaspoon | |
| Salt | 1/2 Teaspoon | |
| 100 g/3 1/2 oz low-fat soft cheese with added herbs | ||
| Snipped chives | 2 Tablespoon, garnish | |
| 100 ml/3 1/2 fl oz and 2 tbsp skimmed milk | ||
| 60 g/2 oz reduced-fat Cheddar cheese, grated | ||
| Low-fat soft cheese, to serve | ||
Directions
GETTING READY
1)Preheat oven to 400 degrees F or 200 degrees C or Gas Mark 6.
MAKING
2)Into a mixing bowl, sift together flour, cayenne, mustard and salt.
3)Add in soft cheese and blend very well.
4)Mix in cut chives.
5)Pour in 100 ml of milk into the well in center of dry ingredients. Stir to make a soft dough.
6)Knead dough on work surface and roll it out into thickness of 2 cm or ¾ inch.
7)Using a pastry cutter of 5 cm or 2 ich diameter, cut out as many rounds as possible and put them on a baking sheet.
8)The dough trimmings can be kneaded again and rolled out to cut more rounds. 10 scones can be made using the ingredients.
9)Smear milks over scones and top with grated cheese.
10)Bake for 15 to 20 minutes until scone rise and become golden in color.
11)Cool on wire rack.

12)Garnish with cut chives and serve with low fat cheese.
