Cheddar Spoon Bread Recipe

Ingredients
Milk-2 cups
Cornmeal-1/2 cup
Butter-1/3 cup
Sugar-1 tablespoon
Salt-1 teaspoon
Cheddar cheese-1 cup, shredded
Fine herbs-1/2 teaspoon
Eggs-2, well beaten
Directions
MAKING
1)In a pan, scald milk and slowly add cornmeal, stirring constantly.
2)Cook on low heat until thick for 5 to 10 minutes. Keep stirring.
3)Fold in cheese, butter, sugar, salt and fine herbs. Stir until cheese and butter melt.
4)Add eggs and mix.
5)Take a 1-quart baking dish and pour the batter.
6)Bake in 350 degrees for about 35 minutes or until firm.
SERVING
7)Serve cheddar spoon bread immediately.
