Cheddar Cheese Spread Recipe
Cheddar cheese spread is a lovely and delicious cheese spread that can be used with dishes of choice. A herbed cheese spread made with yellow and white cheddar along with cream cheese, the spread is blended in a processor to combine. Flavored with worcestershire sauce and mustard, the cheddar spread is sherried to taste and chilled to mingle flavors.
Ingredients
3 ounces each white Cheddar, yellow Cheddar and cream cheese, cut into small pieces
6 green onions, white parts only, finely chopped
2 tablespoons butter or margarine, softened
2 tablespoons dry sherry
1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
1 teaspoon Dijon-style mustard
1/4 teaspoon salt (optional)
Dash hot pepper sauce (optional)
2 tablespoons finely chopped chives
Assorted crackers
Directions
Place all ingredients except chives and crackers in food processor or blender; process until smooth.
Add chives; pulse to mix in.
Cover; refrigerate.
Allow spread to soften at room temperature before serving.
