Cheddar Cheese Crust Recipe

Ingredients
1 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
Dash salt
3/4 cup grated sharp Cheddar cheese
1/2 cup solid shortening
5 to ice water
Directions
Combine flour, salt, cheese, and shortening in a food processor with a steel blade.
Process on High with alternate on/off switch until mixture turns into coarse crumbs.
On Low, add water through the feeder tube, 1 tsp (15 mL) at a time, until dough starts to ball.
Form dough into a ball with your hands.
Wrap in plastic wrap and chill for 2 hours.
Then divide dough in half and roll out both halves on lighdy floured surface.
Arrange bottom crust in pie pan.
Add filling.
Adjust top crust, scoring or cutting slits to allow steam to escape.
Seal edges.
Bake as directed in your pie recipe.
