Ingredients

 Onions3 Large, chopped
 Ground cumin1/2 Teaspoon
 Ground cloves1/2 Teaspoon
 Cinnamon1/2 Teaspoon
 Pinch of turmeric
 Sprig fresh mint or 1 teaspoon dried mint
 Parsley1 Tablespoon, chopped
 Olive oil3 Tablespoon
 1 lb. beef liver, cut into 1-inch-long strips
 Water1/4 Cup (16 tbs)
 Wheat germ1/2 Cup (16 tbs)
 Salt1/2 Teaspoon
 Black pepper1/8 Teaspoon
 Sliced pimientos
 Chopped parsley

Directions

Saute onions with spices and herbs in olive oil for approximately 2 minutes in heavy skillet.
Add liver and saute, stirring constantly, for another 2 minutes.
Add water and simmer, covered, until liver is done.
Stir in wheat germ, if desired, then salt and pepper.
Serve garnished with sliced pimientos and chopped parsley.
